Selling my car

I've been trying to sell my Honda Civic. Posted an ad on craigslist. I've been contacted by approximately 10 people. And 7 or 8 of them were Indian graduate students. What's so special about Honda Civic that makes it so attractive to Indian graduate students? Any ideas?

    Perhaps most of the people using Craigslist are Indian graduate students.

    Asian people (specially south asians)believe Japanese car are the best, because of the durability,fuel economy and brand names. ThAT'S WHY most INDIANS in US have TOYOTA CAMRY :)

    (We = most of us Indians)

    1. We cannot afford to buy new cars.

    2. We cannot afford fuel for Chryslers and GM's

    3. We cannot afford maintenance for used Chryslers, Fords, GMs, Kia's, BMWs, Subarus, and Hyundais.

    4. We cannot afford used Lexuses(Lexi?), Acuras, Lincolns, Cadillacs, Mercs, etc.

    5. We generally have no use for SUVs and mini-vans.

    Ergo. That leaves us with Hondas, Toyotas, Nissans and Mazdas sedans- all (mostly) reliable, low maintenance cars with great fuel economy.

    Interesting question, Honda cars are considered has a luxury compared to Toyota or other Japanese cars in the same range. Honda is very popular in sub continent, although Toyota is popular people feel Honda is a bit of a up market car.
